Nigahiga’s career began from back in the days of high school when he and his friend Sean Fujiyosi, created the YouTube channel, Nigahiga named after the Vlogger.

They began the channel by uploading videos of themselves lip syncing popular American songs in 2016 and later, they switched to uploading comic videos.

On the December 24, 2008, Nigahiga’s two most popular YouTube videos titled ‘How To Be Gangster’ and ‘How To Be Emo,’ were removed from the channel due to copyright violations.

And by January 2009, the Nigahiga YouTube channel was temporarily suspended and Higa was required to take down copyrighted video clips from his channel.

To comply with Youtube’s directives, Higa took down all his lip syncing videos with the exception of ‘You’re Beautiful,’ which was audio swapped.

Also, all the videos on the channel that contained copyrighted songs were taken down from the channel.

The comedian then began to make his own original music and by August 2009, Nigahiga re-uploaded the videos How to be Gangster and How to be Emo but took down the videos few days later.

However, the following year, the Vlogger put back the videos ‘How to be Ninja,’ ‘How to be Gangster’ and ‘How to be Emo’ on to his channel.
