Leona Louise Lewis was born on 3rd April 1985 in Islington London, England.
Her mum’s name is Maria Lewis, a social worker, and former ballet teacher and her father Aural Josiah Lewis, a youth offending officer and an of Afro-Guyanes descent.
She has two brothers, an older half-brother Bradley and a younger brother Kyle.
Due to her passion for singing, her parents enrolled her at the Sylvia young theatre school and later at the Italia Conti Academy of theatre arts.
And afterward, she attended the Ravenscourt theatre school and the Brit school for performing arts and technology.
She did that same year as Adele and Jessie J until her parents could no longer afford to fund her fees.

Leona is so passionate about fighting for the rights of animals. She frowns at the thought of using animals for experimental tests.
She even went as far as turning down a huge offer to open a Harrods sale because the store sells animal fur clothing.

In addition to her love of animals, she made the decision to become a vegetarian because she feels it is the healthiest eating option.
