When asked how she gets into character she says; when she’s figuring out a character, for her  it’s easy, since once she says yes to something, she becomes super-obsessed about it  and she’s of an obsessive nature in general. How she wants to play it starts at that instant, and it’s a very lonely and internal experience.

She also says she thinks about the character all the time observing things, seeing things and filing them in her head, everything is geared towards what she’s going to do.

She becomes obsessed with the human condition. She says one reads the script and becomes obsessed with the character’s nature, her habits, and when the camera rolls; it’s time to do the job, to do the honest truth.

One cannot do that part of the character-creation work when one is in the middle of film making, At least I cannot.
